MetaFund is looking for candidates for the function of:

Board Member

This Board Member will be in particular a representative of participants

Overall responsibilities

• ensure that the applicable laws and regulations, as well as the articles of association and regulations of MetaFund are complied with;

• ensure that no excessive risks are taken that could endanger the solvency of MetaFund;

• ensure an integrity-conscious corporate culture within MetaFund, integrated in business operations as well as a systematic analysis of integrity risks.

Required skills: reliability and suitability

• The trustworthiness of the board member is outside doubt;

• The board member should be suitable, possibly after a short training period to assess both the main features of the overall policy and his/her specific tasks within the board;

• Knowledge of pension, investment, laws or financial matters;

• Financial education or experience at HBO/MBA level;

• Ability to form independent opinions of matters at hand and be a team player;

• Willingness to communicate with colleagues about the pension plan and regulations;

• Subject to approval by Central Bank Aruba.

Required commitment: task and working method

• The board meets as often as is deemed necessary to manage the pension fund, but at least six times a year. Average expected hours to be dedicated to MetaFund is 3 hours per week

• (excluding training hours);

• The board member must be willing to follow a training program, which at least includes the subjects (i) investments, (ii) pension fund governance and (iii) risk management, for the next

• three years with a minimum time commitment of a total of 120 hours for the entire program and participate in additional training sessions during the membership.
