The government continues to boost the economy by opening the borders and bringing back tourism; however, as you could have noticed in the media, hotel occupancies are very low through the end of this year. We are all facing the challenges that the pandemic has brought. Our island will probably face an unemployment of more than 30%, according to experts.
Our mission at MetaCorp is to preserve jobs and reduce operating costs to overcome this crisis until we are back to pre-Corona business levels, it is still difficult to predict when that moment will come.
Our salaries are currently at 80% as part of the government subsidy requirements. Thus, it helps us compensate for the missing business and continue to work without further restrictions. Some of our entities are performing better and others are operating at extremely low levels. Our ability to overcome these difficult times comes from our diversified activities and our unity where the stronger entities support the weaker ones.
With your continuous support and dedication, we will succeed.
Stay safe, stay healthy.
