Update - Covid-19

The first three months of the year did not go by without challenges. The new travel requirement in and out of the USA, affected Aruba's forecasted hotel occupancy, slowing down our economic recovery. Therefore, we will for now continue at a 90% workweek and salary, while monitoring the economic development. More and more Americans are getting vaccinated, and their desire to travel to Aruba can be seen in the increased reservations demand towards the end of the second quarter. The good news as well is that the vaccination process in Aruba has started. So, we remain hopeful that we can return to normal volumes and consequently to 100% workweek and salary within the next few months.

However, at this moment the amount of Covid19 cases is again on the rise and unfortunately this time it has touched more of our employees. For this reason, we urge that we keep our highest discipline in making sure that all our preventive procedures indicated by the DVG and Government are followed. We also encourage all to sign up to get vaccinated. We need to protect our employees, our colleagues, the most vulnerable, and our families throughout this pandemic.
